Ex-Ithacan: Yes Volguus did smile a couple of times. He was also very honest and a nice guy. Now ask me if I smile? Normally I don't smile for the camera either. I hate my pictures when its staged, I don't know what to do and smiling always seems fake. Now I don't mind my someone taking my picture in a more natural state. If I have a smile on those unexpected moments of course its geniune then, and I usually like those the best.
Lecom was also likeable, he just seems like one of my many nephews I have.
Sounds like a good time Chris. I gotta admit, it's fun meeting other forumers. 99.9% are great folks, and easy to get along with. I've met VZ, and he is a good fella, but I didn't want to ruin his "brooding" rep.

Yeah so far the forumers I've met were friendly. I've also heard a good word about you as well from Segun.
good stuff, chris. i'm finding it hard to believe it was long enough ago that the leaves were all on the trees and colorful. even though we've had warm weather recently, everything is dead brown.
i didn't have an accent? i must not have been drunk enough ... you'd have heard it then. (it's a nice hillbilly-philly mashup.)
Great pics. I can understand where the "This is San Francisco?" idea came from although there are obvious differences, but I never knew Philly had streets like that. Great tour.
LOL!
I know, what can I say my brother and sisters was getting busy because I have a lot of nieces and nephews. In fact I think I mentioned it to you before, but one of my nephews look like your twin. He's 14 years old and a little shorter than you, but for sure you two could be mistaken for brothers.
