I thought it would be a good idea to have some modern buildings that will stay under construction like my proposal below for a 42 floor residential. We could even have models which are 'overhauls in progress' of older buildings or a damaged building under repair etc.

I'll add to it slowly over 6 months or so and any ideas for it's design apreciated.
It may have to be placed further back northward-(The river is south).

Can you have a go at rescaling/rezoning the mock buidings in the model and show some pics of your ideas ? You too Aleks !
All the components are easy to adjust and are one click paintable.

Thanks ! A few more u/c's would be great too.

Here are the lots for the whole area, just copy and paste the area you need.

Complete image of stage one.
The areas with sidewalks are already developing.
I will add roads around the edge of the brown area.

Hey Dac, I've been meaning to ask if we can use HSBC from the last SSP city ?
Thats a modern classic right there.

I want to do a 'carbon copy' reconstruction.
I was upset it just wouldn't render properly for some reason. Maybe because of the trees.

I am also preparing a line up of other buildings from the last SSP city for selection to use in this city-They will be chosen by which ones have most detail.

A couple of quick ones.

Some more glass has been added to the u/c. I want to call it E3 for some reason.

If you wouldn't mind me asking, how are you getting the lighting in your Kerky renders to be like that?

It's not completely the light settings, it's more the way the material is set to reflect the light. Although because the SU sunlight thingo is dodgy you must have the sun behind the camera. Also set the SU light/dark meters to around 70.

The Brown concrete on S100's building has similar settings to this.
Mostly the specular needs adjusting + reduse the shininess for pourus materials.

Once i got pretty close

Go for it Aleks,

I will use these 2 for my 'under construction'. The E2 center. Some energy company perhaps.

So these are taken.

this city is impresive, it looks so real. i like it all except for the trees, maybe some realistic trees photos would be better.
the terrain is perfect, how did you make it?

I could use the same trees with real tree photos for textures and see how it goes ! Thanks for the idea.
I hope to improve other textures as we go also.

The terrain is pretty hard to explain, I should make a demo model.
