Sarnia is seeing population growth for the first time since the 90s, primarily from the new $Billion+ NOVA Chemicals plant being contructed and other small-mid size projects. The first high-rise in 10 years is currently under construction in the Downtown and there are other proposals for 8-15 storey buildings throughout the town.
I've included pictures of the skyline, future projects and urban expansion area plan. Please share where you see this town (maybe city one day) in 5, 10, 20 years from now. Does the Downtown continue getting more populated and improving? Does this population growth continue? Is there enough urban expansion area for the next 20 years?
What does everyone think Sarnia's population will be after the two main urban expansion areas are maxed out? How long do you think that will take? .
