It always amazes me that BSU has no problem fielding talent for almost every other position for their football team but has always had a shitty kicker. Surely someone of decent caliber would be interested and sign on. Heck, tout the fact that you're at slight altitude, perhaps.

If there's any one incident where you can almost squarely blame the potential loss of a BCS championship appearance, it's because you have a shitty kicker. What a horrible way to go down.

Hell, even CU has/had a better kicker. I miss Mason Crosby. Our new kicker sucks, but I'd still take ours over BSU's.

Hey Cougar fans, here is to an injury free game.

Here is my prediction for tonight's game: BYU will score more points tonight than the Utes have in the last 8 quarters they have been on a field with Boise State. (2 field goals)

If BYU ever has a shot to win on the blue turf it's this year. I think they take it.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

It's a shame Boise had to play Utah when Utah was in it's slump. Play then any other year and it would of been much closer. Not saying Utah would of won, but sure as hell would of put up more then 3 points. Get over it Boise, EVERYBODY ( besides BYU ) was beating Utah during that time. When a team wins 10 out of 11 of their last bowl games they were due for a lost. Shame it just happen to be the year they played Boise.

Sigh.

Ugly game, but nice win Bronco fans.

I'm gonna have nightmares about BYU's offense. Oh, and Bronco? Why? Why go for 2? Just kick the damn extra point!

BSU didn't have much either. It's tough watching that after what Kellen brought. Coach Pete was not a happy man tonight, win or not. I can see him trying something different, kind of like what BYU did tonight. Hill looked pretty good considering what he was up against.

Sorry to quote myself.

But given Boise State's decision to go for it on 4th down 5 times, removing the chance at field goal attempts of 19 yards, 37 yards, 41 yards, and 48 yards. And given BYU's decision to go for 2 points after the touchdown. I am sure happy Mendenhall stuck with my fictitous agreement. Because if he decided to weasel out of it last minute, good chance BYU wins.

Next year in Provo, the agreement is off, I'll take the 25% field goal kicking. So when BYU drives down the field late in the 4th, BYU will need two scores not one.

It's hard to remember now, but once upon a time back in the early 2000s when Colorado was a legitimately good football team, one of the last big discussions left for us was whether or not wasting a scholarship to bring in a first rate kicker would put us over the top. I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember at the time that Gary Barnett was the first CU coach ever to give a scholarship to a kicker, and it was a result of us losing a few games we couldn't afford to lose solely because our kickers blew goats. Just a thought, but there are kickers out there. And as much-maligned as they are, there aren't many other positions that solely can add or subtract three points from your score multiple times per game. It seems worthwhile to make that fellow a priority.

Lol indeed bunt. I will bask in the glory that is being the top team in the PAC-12 south, even if only for a few hours. It's something that Utah won't know this year! Muahahahah!

Behold, as of 11PM mountain time. All cower before the mighty Tatanka!

The Utes are losing way too many Pac-12 games. This is starting to become embarrassing. You don't show everybody that not only you belong in the Pac-12 but have goals of winning the Pac-12 by getting your asses handed to you like that. Tonight was an eye opener. Think this team will be lucky to finish 6-6. To say I'm embarrass to be a Utes fan right now would be an understatement. These guys have better put it together.
