Yes. There's not much from before the war. And the only house I know of that predated the war was brick.

As for stone, there's the stunning Willowbank out on the Parkway, and if memory serves there are others around Queenston and St. David's.

I kinda figured that was neo-Victorian, it's too symmetrical for the Queen Anne style and there are no trees

Unfortunately there are a lot of generic McMansions going up in the old parts of town too.

Jeez man, that place is insanely squeaky clean. Pretty town. All the tulips are kind of strange actually. Sort of gives off a Pleasantville vibe.

Indeed, if the horse pulling the carriage ever shit, you'd think the mayor would freak out.

For someone like me who tends to view cities favorably in part on the amount of trees, plants, and flowers there are, NOTL appears to be right after my own heart. I LOVE seeing so much greenery & color!

One things for certain though... if you have allergies, NOTL probably isn't the best place for you to live or visit during the warmer months. Fortunately I don't have allergies. Next time I'm in Toronto I'll have to take a day trip to NOTL.

Thanks for the pics Waterlooson. Spring is nice because of the flowering trees, but the flowers are almost all tulips. I think NOTL looks even better in the summer with the greater variety of flowers and lush vegetation.
