I agree that this went up really fast but man, does the tower look bland.

At least the mechaical penthouse will be covered by a nice enclosure.

Has any glass been installed in the balcony railings?

I wonder how much longer until we see the adjacent McDonald's lot sold.

Thinking we may be waiting a while... KGB is the most major route through Downtown Surrey yet there's a complete death of development along the road (other than The Hub), despite towers going up on pretty much all the other main streets nearby.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more news on phase 2 yet. With Save-On-Foods moving out, it seems a little surprising that Phase 2 (East side Townhouses / condos in the picture) is the current plan and not tearing down Save-On / building up the side closer to KGB.

I don't know here I read it, but I saw an article suggesting that with the acquisition of the old TRU site that the developers were going to redo the entire plan.

If that's the case, I bet it'll be a while before there's honest movement of any kind on a Phase 2.

According to the August 2021 Urban Surrey / Surrey City Centre development update, this is what's planed for the old TRU site:

"Toys (Anthem) | 33 + 33 + 35-Storey Residential (1,299 Units), Retail (26,635 SF)"
