Interesting Facts/Records: The project is planned in two phases: the first phase involves the demolition of the existing car park and the construction of a new car park and residential tower. The new car park will be built while the Stockmann department store continues to operate. In the second phase, the existing Stockmann department store building will be demolished and new retail space and an office tower will be built.
A canopy will wrap around the entire block at second floor level, creating a more pleasant environment in the immediate vicinity of the building.
Arhitekt11 and KTA jointly won the competition. Phase I will be designed by Arhitekt11, and Phase II will follow KTA's solution. Detailed design is in progress.
