That's some decent density. And pretty close to the big box stores, so a 15 minute community, just not a pleasant one. Kanata is also densifying, but the amenities are further away. Orleans has the best bones with St-Joseph, but really needs to catch-up density wise, with only a few pockets of denser developments like the car centric Pertrie's Landing and a few, again car centric, condos between Place d'Orleans and Tenth Line.

May not be the tallest out there but Barrhaven used to have zero towers. The plan to change that core into a "mini-Mississauga" with higher density buildings is perfect. I think there's a few more towers planned for that cluster, and it's quite visible in the neighborhood beside the Costco.

Plus they aren't super ugly so that's nice! Great shot!

Good to see density taking some place in the burbs and not just the core.

It was kind of both cool and hilarious to see a skyline in Barrhaven from the 416 the other day.

If life was fair, there would be a 50-60+ floor building in that empty gravel lot behind the middle building similar to Mississauga Marylin towers.

It would look horribly out of place. There's definitely something to be said about reasonable scale.

Maybe that 50/60s can go somewhere near LeBreton.

Today's Progress. Barrhaven has officially joined the Charcoal Brick & Beige Trim club.

Honestly that little cluster came out really nice. I forgot, was that lot beside this another highrise building too?

I don't know of any other proposals here but the red brick retirement residences in this cluster look fantastic for what they are IMHO.
