Crap, I totally missed this contest. I took dozens of pictures of interesting doors while I was in Europe.

I didn't enter either. I looked through my collection and saw too many options and gave up. Then I decided to go out Saturday and came up with about twenty more options. I had narrowed it to about five and it seemed impossibly difficult to narrow it down to one and gave up.

That was my problem as well. At first I thought I'd struggle to find an image that would work. I ended up having too many choices.

At the last minute I ended up bypassing the my two favorites and entering a previously unconsidered dark horse.

Wow, great set. I went with number 10, but man, number 1 was close. I love the color in both of those.

And kudos to whoever took the pic of the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo.

there are more entries then I would have thought... why do we take pictures of doors?

I like 5, the use of the shadow from the lampost to lead the eye to the subject is nice.

After much thought, I finally chose #3. I just like the way the door is framed by the arch and the gate.

It's a two entry race going into the weekend. Who will pull out the win? We might be going into extra innings for this one.
