This would have been taken in the 1980s sometime prior to 1987 when this building was demolished.
This was the old Woolworth store on the (northwest?) corner of St. Catherine and McGill College (before McGill College was widened and before Place Montreal Trust was built).

Is this the Metropolis amphitheate?
Im actually attended this KEANE and the PET SHOP BOYS VENUES back in the 2009, its been already a decade since the last time i was at the Metropolis, i hope im not wrong about the Metropolis----

Agreed, I love pictures of Canadian cities from the 70s and 80s. But they are somewhat hard to come by online. A lot of very old archival photos have been digitized by museums, archives and universities, and there are of course tons of more recent photos from the digital photography era. But there aren't all that many on the interweb from that late 60s to late 90s era.
