Whoah I didn’t know the star metals apartments would be encircling a building that is not part of the property. We all knew northside tavern was staying, but I didn’t realize on the north side the building holding make3 architecture and planning would also be remaining.

Nice to see progress on Osprey, too!

Has anyone actually seen a rendering (or even plans) for Osprey besides the one corner retail view? I find it hard to believe a complex with a 13-story tower and two 5-story buildings has started construction without anyone knowing what it'll look like.

That’s going business in Atlanta for ya! There would be mayhem in Chicago if anything remotely similar even tried to occur. Proposals have to get the thumbs up from the representative Alderman, similar to our council members, before they’re allowed to move forward.

Didn’t realize this was pre fab construction.
“Balfour Beatty is leveraging Prescient’s modular construction technology and off-site manufacturing platform to build the project’s entire tower structure.”

This is the most complete rendering I have seen where you can see up to level 9 on the far corner.

For not being that tall, this is making a nice showing from a handful of vantage points throughout the city.

It sits on top of Cardiac Hill - a major landmark.

Pretty sure it’s actually a similar or lower elevation to most of midtown. I was thinking it would have been a notably taller elevation.

How interesting, Madison Yards may end up less ugly than the Edge project. But, really, what could be uglier than the Edge-- thus far.

I'll see your Edge and I'll raise you an Alexan on Krog. Turns out the only thing uglier is a building with 7 types of cladding and 5 different colors from the 2003 Pottery Barn paint collection.

yeah, not sure when they broke from the slate blue/gray in their renderings, but the royal/carolina blue is a bust right out of the gate.

I think it looks much better in person. If you look at the trees and other objects in the picture, it appears the saturation is way off, likely in an attempt to make the tree foliage look better. I do know that blue is notorious for color fade, so this will likely need to be repainted after a few years once the Georgia sun fades the blue to a washed out color.

The buildings lining Memorial at Madison Yards are actually alot closer to the street than I thought. Maybe this project won't turn out that bad.
