Seems like petvalu will take the remaining unit at the Supertsore plaza in Bathurst, facade was painted black which pretty much seals the deal.

Dilli delight, local indian food truck, will open a restaurant at the Harbourview building.

The impact of workforce shortage has made its first victim, Doolys has closed. From a good source, the manager was almost there everyday to cover unfilled shifts or workers not showing up and eventually quit.

Pretty much every place in town is looking for workers, even the places with the, according to some people “devil’s self check outs” are looking for CASHIERS!

I noticed that the " PetValue" unit has left a sizable amount of unusable space behind the store. The store is only using less than half the space. I wonder if it will be used as storage or become dead space?

think it will remain deadspace, in case they move then it becomes available again.

As for m&m, not sure, will have to wait a bit to see. That building is becoming fairly old, it will need major upgrades.

That will be soooo nice for that area, hate that now one lane bridge!

Also, Bathurst is looking to set up a transit system with the surrounding communities, something along the lines of Miramichi Transit, few lines 5-6 24 passenger busses.

There was some time I read that some oil project was in the works for Beresford. In the minutes of counsel meetings, the company Huron Clean Energy is asking the municipality support for financing for phase 1 construction of a 2000 bbl a day of clean energy. They seem to have carbon capture technology and process it to clean fuel. Interesting!

Interesting for sure. I assume they have a piece of land in mind?

La vie en Rose will set up shop in place Bathurst Mall according to their post on Facebook, also job adverts are online. The mall is hinting on other announcements in the coming weeks.

Reactions online suggest that this store will be quite busy!

The mall is currently the last place in town where there is decent square footage left. Shovels will need to hit the ground soon, more than likely next commercial development will come on the land that Pabineau First Nation has cleared on Vanier.

Some time ago FedEx built a sorting facility in Bathurst and it finally looks like it will become operational since several job adverts came out for different positions.

Looks like Place Bathurst mall will have a food option to offer. They are hinting to an announcement in the near future.

Also there seems to be more coming to the new development where Subway is building in Beresford. A large path along Acadie st has been cleared and long pipes have appeared on the property. Prime spot finally getting some attention, if it gets busier, i would not be surprised to see traffic light put up at the intersection.

Also, looks like Belledune is building a new road extension in its industrial park. Recent tender awarded for the extension of Restigouche drive, where AJN wall panels will be located and will likely open up more land for development.

Is the new bridge going to be 4 lanes? Seems like a waste if it’s not.

Route 8 is only 2 lanes. No need to have a 4 lane bridge for it.

The numbers are even close for a 4 lane there. Don’t think we will ever see a stretch of twin anytime soon in the north.
