i myself think so as well. i do have hope for the latter though. also, if you look from the west to the east as in the other photo. the sunset also makes the towers match up. the glass of the EAP tower turns red and gold during the sunset hour and it matches perfectly with the husky oil towers. just to much luck. this tower is a real winner and it makes Calgary look even better than it did. that is saying allot as it is just one tower amongst hundreds of them. they built it just right if you ask me.

So what's next for Calgary with this one almost done, and the Bow getting there too?

The developer has pretty much said that the west tower of this development will be a go into next year.

There is also some activity around Herald Square (Brookfield) it's a 50 storey, 700' tower. Like Bigtime said though, the west tower of EAP is the most likely.

The office vacancy rate has been dropping much faster than expected. It won't be surprising to see another tower break ground within the next year or two.

The most likely are:

-Phase II of EAP (40 floors)
-Centennial III (25 floors)
-Herald square (50 floors)

I would like the same thing, but EAP tower east makes the most sense (given that the base is already built) I wouldn't be surprised to see Brookfield make a play.

I really like the understated lighting scheme on the crown of EAP I.

Apparently there is activity on the DP for Herald Square (221m) Either that or EAP's second tower are the most likely of tall ones.

Since they recently added 2 more stories to EAP II, it is most definitely still on.

The revised DP for the second tower is now for 176.7 meters. As stated above they have added two more floors to the project.

EAP will be much more likely to go ahead before Herald.

Herald has some serious parking issues they need to work out beforehand and the sheer size of the building will necessitate a more intensive and likely longer pre-leasing period.

I'd put a lot of money on EAP being the first new office tower to go ahead in Calgary, and a slightly less amount on it occurring within the next year.

We've heard that it will start up in 2012. EAP I is completely leased now, I know someone who's company wanted more space in EAP and was told there was none left.
