Actually, these are two towers. I'm going to break the two towers apart into separate towers. BTW, can anyone confirm construction? What is the source? From what I read, they were only approved late last month. In fact, only a little over 2 weeks ago.

But they are still the same building. They are seamless.

How many floors are they connected on? And, can anyone confirm, with a news article, that they are actually under construction?

They are connected for 10 floors.

No news link, but visual proof.

That is site prep work, not construction. Construction is excavation and pile driving. Hopefully, we will be able to add an "approved" status to our database to further separate something from just "proposed."

I'll leave it at "construction" though, unless it get's put on hold. This has been something that has already bothered me, a little, and I will bring it up with the other editors.

LMich, How about a site-prep category as well as approved. Site-prep is sometimes a lengthy process as well.

621 Capitol Mall will also be in site-prep, followed by construction within about a week or so.

thanks LMich. I wasn't sure what you considered the cutoff point between "proposed" and "construction". Probably a good idea to include a step or two between these, like you said.

Well, I don't have much say in this. I can only suggest it to the senior editors. So, don't expect anything.

BTW, emporis.com splits these into two different towers, and after looking at the rendering, they actually sit quite a bit apart from eachother. I'm realling leaning towards making them two different towers, even if they are part of the complex. A personal example is of the Detroit Renaissance Center. They all share a common base, but they have different entrances, too, so count as different towers.

Split them, then we can say that Sacramento will have two 615' towers. :-)

The Towers on Capitol Mall have a central entrance for both
the condos and hotel on Capitol Mall.

One last thing, tower II will be listed as proposed. I read that the success of tower I has everything to do with whether tower II gets built.

That's probably old. The sales in tower 1 did so well that the developer announced that both will be built simultainiously after the the podium is up.

BTW, I still don't agree with splitting them up as it's 1 project being built at the same time. I don't see how an illustrator could draw them with the podium and not have them both. It just looks incomplete.

You draw the full base for each, but only draw one tower on each drawing. That's how it's been done for most all other complexes.

I don't know, man. That just doesn't seem right for this one.

They're just too integrated to me.
