I have a question, do y’all think we will see any more high rise construction like the Odeon or taller anytime soon? And does anyone know what is going to built next to the Odeon?

LCMC Health opens $30 million medical complex in Metairie

LCMC Health has opened a new medical complex in Metairie where specialists from Children’s Hospital, Touro Infirmary and West Jefferson Medical Center will see patients.

The 48,000-square-foot Ridgelake Health Center is located near North Causeway Boulevard and Ridgelake Drive in Metairie. The $30 million facility designed by the McDonnel Group opened in January. The four-story facility offers a variety of specialized medical care for pediatric and adult patients overseen by physicians from three hospitals under the LCMC umbrella, according to a news release.

Specialty pediatric physicians from Children’s Hospital are located on the second floor of the facility. On the third floor, Touro’s Crescent City Physicians will offer specialty health care for adult patients, including cardiology, urology, general surgery, primary care, and obstetrics/gynecology. Crescent City Physicians’ oncology and infusion center is on the fourth floor.

West Jefferson Medical Center will open an imaging center on the building’s ground floor in late summer.

Wish I could come to the gathering -- at 1100 miles, it's a little far for the evening. Take some pictures of the evening for us New Orleans expatriates living far away from home.

The aerial pictures of The Julia are impressive!

I went on a tour of the Standard a few months back and Matt Schwartz (CEO) from Domain companies said that last parcel will likely be low rise, no more than 2-3 stories, and will house a big name retailer (think Macy's, Dillards, etc.) to help anchor and drive the retail sector they planned for South Market to be.

I remember you posting about doing something on Diamond St. a few years ago... I think it was condos? Is this a replacement for that?
