My building(s)...

I'm impressed with some of the things you can do with SketchUp... I almost got a ton of graphics programs - most some are poor guy's tools, but I'm not mad at all of 'em - Hexagon 2, Vue 7 (I need to get the full-program), Silo and Blender (I really need to get my feet wet with them).

Enough of the jibber-jabber. Here's one of the buildings I did. I called it The Wiesendock Tower. It took me a good two days to work it out: Design a plan (think about size, circulation, functionality), create elevation, and just design, design away. I like the turn out, though I need some details.

I did the last pic on Kerkythea, the others I did a quick shadowing.

I have made some other towers too. I may share them.

Thanks for looking.

Looking good! I'm new to SU and KT as well and really enjoy playing around to see what I can do. There is a lot of inspiration on this forum as to what can be achieved.

Your design looks clean and feasable. I look forward to seeing some more.

Here's another one...

Something I did. It's a 500 meter tower I did. I think I did a good job on it and I give my thanks to Krases for his help. The thing that bothers me is making windows on them. Oh well, it was one of my attmepts.

Here's more of a bird's-eye view of the tower consisting 126-130 floors. I like the design and this is mostly a rough layout of what I want to accomplish as far as making a supertower is concerned.

Here are the design shape that I did. I will plan on making that tower over.

Here are some past creations I did with SketchUp, I may put more of my stuff sometime this week maybe.

I think I'm getting there where making models are concerned. I'm just don't know what to think of doing windows, the thickness, the transparency and such.

Here's Tower 909, rendered in Vue (you will see watermark, as it's from e-onsoftware).

This one I did was rather complex - like a hotel/business complex about 152 meters and 40+ floors.

That's all I have for now, I might do a render of the previous supertall tower I did.

Let me know what you think of them.

A bit of a work in progress... again.

I haven't made a name for this design concept yet. Probably Valles - or something along those lines, boy, I hope I'm not breaking any TOS by showing too many images...

Thanks for letting me share them.

Holy cow, how did I miss this thread!?

These designs are utterly fantastic, I love it! Especially the first one you posted and Emporer tower. We in Boise desperately could use a building like the first one you posted. It's tall, gorgeous, and would make a wonderful new tallest for our city. You have an excellent eye for architecture and it really shows in your work.

Keep posting, I can't wait to see more! You should consider compiling some of these models and building a full fleged city! I could build the airport!

Thank you to all.

I appreciate all your feedback...

I will now show you my WIP of what I called Valles (for the time being), I will now name it the People's Tower as I can't really think of a good name for my tower.

It would be like a cross between the World Trade Centers and some inspirations of the City of Capitals - the twin towers in Moscow.

Here they are. The first one is higher than the second and will have antennas.

These are just floor modelling, I hope to create the elevators, columns, windows and such.

Thanks for looking.

They have a lot of potential. I'll look forward to seeing how you detail the facades of these, could look cool with the various reflective angles on the facade. Have you thought about lower rise buildings at the base or setting them in a context of some kind to get a better sense of their scale?
