I don't know if anyone would agree but I thought it might be interesting to have a general thread about various developers in the area and what they do, are doing, will do, have done, etc. Hope some chat starts.
I'm curious if anybody has recent examples of small projects and up-and-coming developers.
Sometimes the most interesting projects are small-scale adaptive reuse and restoration. I particularly like projects that enhance the traditional character of the city. I find that while there are a lot of renovations of old buildings, they often get stripped down or simplified and redone in a modern theme (streamlined monochromatic). While the overall pace of development has gone way up the amount of effort going into improving heritage buildings doesn't seem to have matched that trend.
Even heritage restoration aside I like a lot of the smaller projects that have narrow street frontages and create a lot of variety in a small space. Some Gottingen developments are like this.
