Congratulations to Colorado. A well-deserved champion for the league. Hats off to Tampa Bay for a great run and pretty close to forcing a seventh game.

Entertaining playoffs. I can't wait for next year to start.

I remember the Leafs victory in 1967. I am convinced I will never see another Maple Leafs Stanley Cup winning team in my lifetime.

The Oilers have 3 years left to make it happen and still very much need top four D and a goalie.

Was there ever worry about Ovi leaving in the same vein as McD and Matthews or did the Caps not seem as incompetent or hopeless as the Oilers and Leafs? Or not enough passionate hockey fans down there for it to really register?

People don't panic in other markets as much as Toronto or Edmonton.

I think that's mostly a US vs. Canadian market difference.

If you mean that they currently have the single longest Cup drought in the league, then yes, out of all the NHL teams, if it can be said to be anyone’s “turn”, it’s unarguably “their turn”.

You remember the last Leafs Stanley Cup? No offense, but you must be really, really old... I am sorry you had to go through that. How was it? I imagine chaos, rivers of lava, fire and brimstones falling from the sky, death of all firstborns, Lake Ontario turning red, pestilence and darkness. I do hope I'll never have to go through this.

What’s the point of having that blond guy - whatever his name is - take care of the Cup for the last 30 years, if every team he gives it to is gonna bang it up.

He is essential to the Bettman curse preventing Canadian based teams winning the cup!

Barry Trotz on the McCown podcast today. Interesting conversation about the recent past and his non-firm plans for the future.

Boeser signs 3 year $20M extension with Vancouver.
Canucks add assistant coach Mike Yeo.

^I like Boeser (even though he is a Canuck ). Not a great skater but a great accurate shot.
Can’t stand Mike Yeo, not sure what they are thinking by hiring him. Is he a bruce boudreau guy ?
