Developers' marketing teams are too busy pumping out the buzzwords and catchy phrases to get the street name right. Even when Google Maps (or any map service) spells it out for them several times.

I am anxious to see the plans. Assuming at the bare minimum, with a 4.5m tall ground floor and 26 floors at 3m puts this at around 83m tall, but given the elevation of the site (112m) it would be taller than the escarpment at that particular location.

Those little details can give potential buyers the impression that you're in touch with the city, or it can tell them you're an out-of-town firm just trying to make a fast buck. To be fair, this is far from the first development to make a goof like that.
If they'd gone all historical and labelled it Hannah Street, I actually would've been impressed.

They are seeking 26, 30 & 36 stories now. Max height 114m, with a 3 storey connecting podium. 923 units proposed.

I sure hope they got their documents into the city in December. If so, they can head to the OMB. This would be such a great use of that half empty piece of land. Any renderings?

Shoddy marketing, indeed. The headline is just bizarre--"Urban condos for all citizens." What does that even mean?

Perhaps that it's affordably priced, but still upscale?

I'm no genius but I'm guessing condos at all price points in an urban setting.

Although, expect the price point thing to get axed once the NIMBY neighbourhood association and city hall interfere. The height will get squished, and the price per unit will go up....and then the Corktown NA will hold a public meeting sometime next year to complain about the un-affordability of Hamilton's housing market....

No genius here, either, but it just sounds wince-inducing: Urban condos for all ages, faiths, creeds, colours, classes, professions!

I mean, 'for all citizens' is just so no-shit obvious, or, perhaps it's just 'for all citizens [who can afford our base price-point and upgrades].

Hamilton skyline does need a few 100+M towers. It would look great, then EcDev could use that in their promos. What do cities us for marketing....? Skylines and architecture, not some park trail or dock into a swamp.

Swamp?? I love swamps - they're full of life. The closest swamp though is in Flamborough.

Hamilton is naturally a wetland, it's infill built over a swamp. There are about 30 creeks and rivers that flow through the lower city to get to the harbour.

absolutely freaking gorgeous....what a great urban use of land.
Thankfully this is out of the height restriction zone.... hopefully they got their documents into the city in December so they can use the OMB. (and how sad is it in Hamilton that as soon as a decent urban project is proposed in the middle of downtown, we know it's headed to the OMB)

Yeah that is ferocious and hulking. Also looks like it'll be a spandrel-fest.
