I wonder how many 30-storey developments worth of C02 that bad boy is producing. Where's the friendship group?

Here's a short drone video with some recent / current projects in sight. I strongly recommend muting the vulgar (and just unfitting?) music.

Richmond Yards stands out of course. It may be at or above the height of the drone? And I thought the Jade building Christmas lighting looked pretty cool (from a distance, anyway).

Those are nice shots. The quick pivots of the camera are a little hard on the head, but the scenes are nice in that you can see both the buildings and the lighting.

Thanks for the heads-up on the "music"... I was curious, of course, but quickly found the mute feature...

One building I noticed was the funky curved one on Gottingen with the black cladding and the lit-up protruding windows. It looks kind of neat from the air with the window outlines popping out of the side of the building. Nice variety there.

The music is indeed awful once the vocals begin but such is the state of the music industry these days.

I am at a bit of a loss as to the location of the first 40 seconds or so. I am guessing that is Gottingen from the east side looking west, but I don't recognize much of it.

Yes, I think the shot is taken from above the old/abandoned school there... just to the east of the Y and the North End Library - I think the drone moves to be above the Dalhousie Legal Aid building, at which point the building in the centre of the frame before it starts rotating is the recently completed phase of the Velo project.

Curious to see what will happen with that Grafton site. It would make such a difference to that area, and potentially cover up the red walls.

Agricola/Blowers/Grafton is nice enough but it could have or maybe could still be a lot nicer with heritage restorations. There are some older buildings there will some interesting details although much of it has been irretrievably lost at this point, like the former Nova Centre office. Nightlife areas like that are tricky.

I believe that site falls under the restrictive view plane that limits the Cambridge Suites to a low-rise building so I suspect nothing more than a few storeys can be built there. That probably limits the value of the site and hence makes it unlikely to proceed any time soon.

I believe you meant to say Argyle. Given the potential uses in that area I would not hold my breath for any expensive heritage restorations. Much more likely to be faux-heritage.

Total miscalculation on the city's part. These idle lots are too prevalent while so detrimental to the city. Middle ground needs to be found.
