Compared to ripping it all down and replacing the streetside with a dead glass wall, yes. And I will give credit to them that they did appear to use good quality materials in the new facades.

Compared to keeping the 'soul' of the original building, it is, IMHO, a fail.

It could be worse, but it's all relative - a kick in the groin is definitely better than being shot or stabbed, but none of those would be my first choice.

For Doors Open this year, the 17th floor was open to the public. Some really amazing views from up there. (Sorry for the large pictures)

The interim location for NATO’s DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) North American regional office has been secured, and will open by summer 2024 at the TD Centre at 1791 Barrington Street in Halifax.

NATO DIANA will be coordinated by two regional offices – one in Halifax, the other in London, UK.

I just read this article. Great news for Halifax. Seems like the companies also may be in Halifax. More jobs!
Wonder where the real headquarters will be if this is an interim location

Perhaps they will discover a way to build decent and well designed naval vessels that don't flood the chain locker in rough weather.

Is that an allusion to any particular naval vessels?

There is a video of the problem on a DeWolf class vessel. ( I never had such a problem in an earlier career)
