I think if 432 Park did something with it's massing like Mahanakhon Tower in Bangkok, it would be more universally liked. Not loved, but more liked. But I think with such a small footprint, and how wide they made the cubes (only 6 across), those kind of cutaways would have been to high of an engineering challenge.
Still, there's something classic and simple and elegant about 432 Park, which in my opinion would have been so much more elegant if they just clad it in stone vs. concrete.
