A Roma panorama- density and domes

I'm teaching this semester in Corciano, Italy. We spent the first month of the trip between Roma, Sicilia, Firenze and Napoli. As a preview to my eventual photothreads, I'm posting this pano of Roma I took from the Gianicolo.

Wow, that's beautiful! I've been studying this photo for several minutes now, with a map of Rome by my side. Fascinating! I'm going there in a month.

Incredible pano. I'm looking forward to that Roma thread, I've been waiting for another one since Kilgore Trout posted one way back in like August.

I love those trees. Not the palms but the other prevalent ones. I was in roma last summer and couldnt help staring at them.

O Boquillas, what a treat!

I hope it's a foretaste of many fine photos to come.

@Olga: so may we expect another grand photo series from you? That would be great.

Incredible.
I would of thought that the Flavian Amphitheater / Colosseum would of been more prominent; from this viewpoint it is partially obscured by a clump of trees.

The ruins of the Emperor's palace on the Palatine hill (on the extreme right) are pretty impressive. ...and all the Reniassance architecture is a feast for the eyes.
