And a fond farewell to L's Columbia threads (though i have a feeling there may be some return visits).

Good stuff, but let me get this straight. You stay in a city until it's on the cusp of a boom and then leave? Wassup wit dat?

Thanks for the tour L.

thanks y'all.

Western, plenty of the night shots were taken around the often overlooked east-side of downtown, which is a mix of old housing (a lot of which survived the civil war burning of the city,) new housing, and smaller office buildings. more projects seem to be planned for it though, hmm...

ex-ith, i'd love to stay but uncle sam says i'm needed elsewhere...it seems to be the story of my moves, i leave someplace right when it starts booming.

flar, you'll see it again, although i'm not sure when, or what camera the pics'll be from.

cool, where'd you see them? there's a lot more of them in the art bar in columbia, i think it's their headquarters. although 4 of them are outside of downtown (there were two others on the house next to the one in the pic.) i bet they're a self-replicating species.

i think there's a park near there. it's wierd, i lived in Columbia almost a total of 6 years and went down that street lots of times, but never noticed the Tobors until this time. what were you doing during your visit in 98?

Judging by the pics, it doesn't get too cold in the winter in Columbia? Looking good!

Good luck with your move!

Winters are pretty mild in Columbia, but people tend to complain about the "brutal" summers, LOL.
