42 Floors . I am glad to see a tower in Winnipeg go past 38 ( 55 Nassau) and also the Height. 128 metres for 201 Portage and this will be 142 m
It is tough to imagine in the current covid state, but I am hoping as the world returns to normal so to speak, Another tower even taller gets the go ahead.
44 floors or more.

Last two mechanical floors are somewhere in the 15-foot range I think. So pretty tall floors.

For reference - just over 38 ft for the mechanical floors

^ What does the height of 564'8" mean? Is that the above-ground height of the building + foundation, footings, etc.?

Biff, I have so little. First you one up my floor height estimation with a screen shot of the actual Architectural plans...

Can't you just let me have the 100'-0" bit?

Building Height

So I guess the building height is closer to 468' +-, because level 100 is about 3ft above the sidewalk, when normally the level 100 would be just above or at sidewalk level

Beautiful shots, OTA, but all I can think about is how much room still needs to be filled in downtown!

Typically the elevation of 100' is the top of slab on grade of the lowest parkade level. It allows for the bottom of footing or bottom of pile elevations to not be a negative number. In 300 mains case, the base of the crane is at 114.31'

Very true, but we're not unique in that problem. Take a look into recent posts in the "Regina Retail" Thread. Folks there have posted maps showing the amount of surface parking in their downtown. A recent newspaper article stated that roughly half of the privately owned land in their downtown is surface parking. Keep in mind this is in a smaller area than Winnipeg's downtown. I'm sure this is a problem in other cities as well.

True but Giza has about a 6,000 year head start so we're not doing that bad.
