That is a wild story.... Party Dave really messed up
As far as the dead guy goes, I was curious so I googled him... apparently he grew up with a very abusive and violent upbringing.
It turns out Party Dave was an ex con crackhead. It was a really weird evening. There was also a random guy we met at the bar who had just moved here from Ontario with his dad. He asked me for a 5 dollar bill when we were settling the tab which I thought was to pay for the drinks. He rolled it up and did a line of coke in front of me. That night was the only experience I have ever had witnessing people using cocaine / crack.
Not surprised that Mizen had an abusive and violent childhood.
Not sure. I think because he figured that's what I had. My memory is a bit fuzzy as it happened so many years ago and I was buzzed. He might of asked for a $20 but $5 was all that I had.

Fair enough. Still sounds he asked for a specific denomination . Guess he wasn't borrowing it.
LSD was big at my Southern Ontario university. Lots of cocaine once I made it to Bay Street.
Highschool in the late 90’s / early 00’s was all about E and weed. Calgary has a history of being a cocaine city, but I’m not into hanging out with that crowd. Even in art school I never actually saw anyone doing hard drugs though I know they were present.
For me HS was the eighties and it was all about Hashish and Acid.

LSD was basically replaced by Ecstacy in my highschool years. Also many people raving about 'Shrooms. I never needed nor wanted to get high because I was so dissociative and medically unwell back then that I might as well have been high or drunk all the time. There are chunks of HS that I can't remember that well.
Yep. My first year was in the mid 1990s. There just wasn't enough supply of ecstacy. I lived off campus my second year and onwards so it wasn't as much in my face anymore.
I like beer. I still like beer. Makes you pee a lot. There was always cocaine in the bathroom at parties as cliched as it reads.
Young workforce flush with cash. I have no doubt Calgary was equally flush with cocaine.
Every time I pass by this house in Oakville, that is worth millions, I scratch my head. It went from a warm and inviting house with great curb appeal that I would look forward to pulling up to every day to an abandoned cabin.
Did someone say Volkwagen that Doesn't Budget Between the 2009 and 2015 street views?? Because this car caught in 2012 and 2015 is still there today! It's been there since sometime in April 2010 and July 2011 according to Google Earth.
Passed this today in Downtown Burlington. Not ugly, but not attractive either. I could live in it, but I way prefer the style of what was there before. Though the new structure is bigger. The new one is just not inviting whatsoever. And what you can't tell from this overexposed capture is that the whole front is brick painted in white, which would have suggested an existing house was made over instead of this being brand new.
