I love that in Houston in a residential high rise that you can look out of pretty much any window in a unit and see several high rises or even a whole skyline. It's almost like having a view of a different city in each room.

Yeah, the base of this thing is pretty horrible. No street interaction at all, cut off by a doughnut parking lot and a guarded gate. Density without neighborhood interaction is useless. Of course, you can say the same for most apartment complexes that are gated and offer no street interaction, but you would expect that a generally square or rectangular development such as a tower would logically "meet the street" and interact with it. Besides, the same security equipment, personnel, and protocols that make a simple steel gate effective security could easily be applied to any other gate even if it leads into the garage at the street.
