I would say Bettman is the mad one, in terms of Einstein's 'insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results'

In terms of anger, I'd say any Canadian has fairly solid grounds upon which to be angry. But you enjoy.

True, but that is not often how the Norris trophy voting seems to go.

Congratulations to Steven Stamkos on 1,000 points!

The Oilers continue to amaze me with their inability to play the first 20 minutes. Four, yes FOUR shots in the first period and only 6 in the third.

Our puck control is rather poor and D continue to be very easy to play against.

We were fortunate (again) that Connor can draw penalties or this game might have gone the other way.

An interesting idea and might be beneficial for all parties involved.

No one has been posting the Canadian standings so here they are:

4 - Toronto 36pts (26GP)
9 - Winnipeg 31pts (23GP)
15 - Edmonton 28pts (25GP)
20 - Calgary 25pts (24GP)
21 - Montreal 25pts (24GP)
24 - Vancouver 23pts (25GP)
26 - Ottawa 21pts (24GP)

A lot of mediocrity there.

Outside of Toronto and Winnipeg, the Canadian teams have been thoroughly disappointing this year.

I dunno. Rearrange the list with switching Winnipeg and Calgary's spots, and it looks pretty much where people would have expected. Edmonton is a bit low - but can never be considered out of it with the McDrai bonus power.

Yeah, Calgary has been a big disappointing, but they switched out a lot of key stuff so I expected some growing pains. They should be a better second half team.

Edmonton isn't really far off from where I would expect. I would have expected maybe 12th in the league.

What is surprising to me is how quiet Toronto's 4th in the league is. They have just gotten the job done night after night. Even with Matthews only putting up good, not spectacular goal numbers. An incredibly quiet 11-1-3 November. Good on them just getting things done.

It's probably quiet since they will get either Tampa or Boston in Rd 1 and that's the end of Toronto.

Shots are 19-5 Washington 12mins in.

NINETEEN TO FIVE

Skinner has been incredible thus far.

Nurse with a stupid penalty

Oilers need to shoot when in slot.

Oilers are a time waster team will never go anywhere the way they are constructed. I know sound ridiculous but maybe they should pull Gretzky trade 2.0 get rid of McDavid and get 3 good star players in return to build out more depth.

A talented 22nd ranked team with 47 shots and now with the lead.

#2 looking into the stands for some popcorn.

Crazy game tonight with Montreal in town.
Canucks down 4 nothing, up 5-4, MO treal ties, then Canucks win in OT.
The first time since 1973 that Vancouver comes back from a 4 goal deficit.

^Damn - congrats.
----

Listening to the post-game with Woodcroft sounded like a lot excuses, deflection and protectionism.

'we lost a 3-2 hockey game'

And I am a millionaire on paper.

But I'm not and they didn't; they had a 'hot goalie' (on their side for once) or it would have been a 6-2 game by my count, maybe 6-3 if I am kind.

You can tell that 29 and 97 are tired and becoming frustrated with depth or options.
