No need to check, that's the Divine Lorraine to the left of the 1300 Fairmount site.

Ah, but there was need to check! It turned out that they either massively redid the site plan or I was mistaken. It looks like this project is actually on the parcel immediately adjacent to the 1300 Fairmount site.

It's Venture Commons by TierView Development, 50 units and retail. The parking garage ramp for 1300 Fairmount is going to run next to it.

https://tierviewdevelopment.com/projects/

Several of the empty lots along that section of Ridge have plans for construction-- southeast corner of 13th/Ridge/Mt Vernon is getting a 38 unit building and northwest corner is getting a 6th unit building. Southeast corner of Ridge/Wallace is getting a 44 unit building. A batch of townhouses will go in between those two corners along Ridge.

Yes, this one that I posted pics of, doesn't reach Fairmount. It abuts Cerulean Arts gallery.

Didn't know the name of the project.. thanks Aaamazarite.

This is one of the nicest looking buildings I've seen go up in awhile. More of this please!

I can see the partial rendering on their projects page, but the link to the Venture Commons website from there loads as only a blank white page (in 3 different web browsers) with the page title: "Venture Commons | A 1960s Modular Library | Bold and unique design that matches the spirit of Francisville"

Just judging by their website, most of their work looks really nice. Good developer.

You have linked the same thing twice, mate.
There was a tower planned there on North Broad though?

Thanks-- edited the post.

There was a 9-ish story tower set for that North Broad property that had a big opening in the front so you could still see the building behind it, but they went back to the drawing board and made up a whole new project.

^I thought the prior proposal was interesting, but the revisions are more sympathetic to the existing structure.

I like the stone cladding (limestone would be great!).

Any idea where/how I can access the first set of plans? If I'm remembering it correctly it was very unusual.

The old plans are scrubbed from where I got them. Here's a rendering

Yep, that's a good looking building. Thanks for digging it out.
I wonder if the bed count has changed in the new two smaller buildings plan.

Ridiculous. The tower plan looked fantastic, so of course it was denied.

That was a super attractive project. There was no reason to reject that one. They'll end up with something worse, I'm sure. That's why we can't have nice things because communities resist change or don't know when to accept something good when it actually comes along.

This is nice looking but not spectacular. Like a mini-society hill tower with a different base. But way better than current proposal.
