Yes, and not only that, but consider also how conditions influences the types and styles of architecture your buildings would have, the way they are laid out, and how they interact, connect, and relate back to their environment. One of the conditions could be that the geography of the landmass has an area with just lots of land, or mountains, or is surrounded by lots of water (like the one you have), or rivers. This could determine whether you want certain structures built within your city, like an airport, or seaport, etc, or how the form of the city (shape/structure) has been formed through those conditions.
You could also have conditions based on weather such as temperature, you could have a very hot climate (like in the desert) or a really cold, snowy climate (like near the poles), and could perhaps maybe an actual location in the world. With hot climates, you could develop some very interesting architecture, through ways of shading the city through colouring buildings white, or placing trees, and maybe even harness the sun's energy through use of solar panels on rooftops. Or it could be that with rainy climates, you could have architecture that would be very protective of the rain, and even ways to collect rain water. It is these conditions that give a city the reasons for being.
