Cirrus: It's an MTA map applied to Seattle using geographic approximation and probably some of the old Forward Thrust-era maps.

Just made this for Wikipedia:

All the others were based more on geography, this is more of a true noodle map. Screw geography, we want it to be pretty and clean.

Your map is waaay better than the official GO map, that's for sure... GO's official map is the worst map of any kind I have ever seen.

Yeah, it's terrible.

They need one more for it to be a true octopus though.

Vancouver at some point in the future. There's a lot going on. Maybe too much?

Yeah, it's in inkscape/svg, so it's as big as I want.

Here's a link to a bigger version:

That is one of the most jawdropping things I've ever seen. It is perfection. What dimensions is it? It looks HUGE.

Thanks ! ... but when I make maps like this , I always stay humble because I think I can do better each times ... so for me , this map is good , but never perfect

Dimensions are :

67.5 cm X 55.5 cm

-----------------

26.5 x 22 Inches

Very cool, Franks.

Here is a quick map I just made showing a potential express service on DC Metro's new Silver Line.

Nice and crisp. (Almost said "nice and crips". )

When you have the time to do it (and you will need a lot of time) visit Norscand Geofiction. Most of the maps are of the same style but they're very cool nonetheless. If they're all made by a single person, he must have absolutely no life.

Some of my own stuff:

This is based on a proposal for a subway system in Winnipeg from 1953, I think. It's very soviet-style.

Bus systems don't make very good Massimo Vignelli-style maps... As you can see the primary terminals pose a lot of difficulties for me. I actually started this about a year ago and gave up part way through. I'll try again someday.
