I'm not sure I'm sold on the top part of EAP yet. When you drive up Northbound on Macleod Trail at around Chinook Mall, it's like a giant reflector on a sunny day and is quite hard to look at. It also looks really strange when the rest of the building isn't like that.
I have mixed opinions about the roof. Taken by itself, it drags down the tower a bit. However when you zoom out and have EAP and Bankers Hall in the same picture, the former looks like a modern echo of the latter. The "stripe" down the south face also strongly hints at this. Rather clever if you ask me...
EDIT: Another thing to help establish this design relationship... let's remember that the original Penny Lane design was basically a remodelling of the original Bankers Hall design.

let us all agree then, EAP turned out greater than its critics could foresee. <---that rhymed. not that anyone thought that it would be that bad anyhow. it sure beats the hell out of the original design.

I like the way the crane basically lowered itself, that was interesting to see.
This building turned out great, decent tower with nice glass, and the podium is probably the best we have seen yet on a commercial tower.
Last two mornings driving by EAP on 9th, the lobby was completely done and occupied. Awesome lighting, plants installed and people milling about. Early in the morning, but maybe just a tour. Sorry, no pics.
When you look at EAP at night you can definitely see office floors that are fully complete and ready for tenants. They obviously have finished the floors that leased out first and the lobby. I bet they'll have people working in the building before the end of the month.
I was driving down Deerfoot heading north around Southland mid afternoon a few days back and the sun light reflecting off the top was INTENSE. Man it was bright, like a giant beacon.
