Edmonton - Those COVID days/nights - A walk around the hood
Having been away for three weeks, I wanted to reconnect with my neighbourhood by way of photo tour, our new Al Fresco market, check out the LRT progress, grab a pint or three and then head to my first movie (Before Sunrise) since COVID times. As luck would have it, we ran into a brief downpour that provided some beautiful things to shoot.

On the note of the pandemic, it doesn't seen to be a lot of mask-wearing. But crowds tend to be smaller. I see masks more frequently down here in the US.
Oddly enough, I'd say I normally see about 50-75% of people masked these days, but it certainly was not seen in these.
Our city just made it mandatory to have them in all public spaces.

Calgary has quite a bit more undulation in its topography, but our river valley is significant from top of bank to top of bank.

Nice summer tour of Edmonton, a city mostly associated with winter otherwise; I remember seeing a documentary called "Winter cities" as a child when I just got into architecture and was fascinated by the skybridges, skyscrapers and West Edmonton Mall. I even recorded it on VHS. Edmonton looks nice summertime.
