Omg, those are awesome. The Grand Tetons are quite possibly the most beautiful mountains in North America. Simply stunning.

Very scenic pictures. This is an incredible area and the Upper and Lower Mesa Falls have go to be some of the most beautiful waterfalls I have been to.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Here's a few more snapshots for Grand Teton fans:

This is my friend's house in Jackson, by the way. Needless to say, I am insanely jealous:

Thanks. Wasn't sure if you'd mind my intruding on your thread, but my pics didn't seem worth their own thread (they are just snapshots--I don't usually try for anything more) but I thought they might be enjoyed by the group. The first one, of course, took advantage of the light. In the Tetons, it seems like it's all about the light.

Great pics Marcus. What / where is that stream or cascade we see in the fifth pic of the first post? Also, what time of year were these pics taken (do the waterfalls dry up in summer)? Thanks in advance!

Very nice pics. That first pic looks like the potato fields outside (North) of Ashton, Idaho. My Grandfather was born and raised there. The 100 year old house is still standing.

The nearby St. Anothony Sand Dunes make quite a contrast.

^ The Upper and Lower Mesa Falls never dry up but the flows will vary with the snow pack.
