Philadelphia in PANOvision

Continuing my ongoing theme of 'Reverberation drinks his way across America's old cities'....

Other stops include;
Boston:

Chicago:
http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=216108

..I present Philadelphia:

To make the introduction short, Philadelphia is badass. the SEPTA is MUCH more extensive than I expected it to be and people were much nicer than the media's reputation would have you think. (I believe that Thrillist actually compared it to the US Penal System). It felt like a city of neighborhoods where each one had its own cultural thing going on. On to the photos;

God Philly has some incredibly awesome architecture.

---

If you think about it, Philadelphia may very well be the most unpretentious authentic major city in America.

Phil-o-delphia means "Friend of the City". That's what it means no matter what folks tell you.

The old architecture is very compelling, from colonial days to all the pre-war stuff.

I'm a phil-o-Phil-o-delphia.

incidentally, I should have started this sentence with a capital letter.

Love me some Philly. Used to date a girl there, so I've been there a lot. You've done Philly justice. I love the picture of the "Philly cheese steak." Many don't know that they put the cheese underneath the meat in most of the restaurants serving them. Again, great pics. Show us more if and when you can.
