The crowds have arrived! This area is going to be packed once everything is set and done. This is how a neighborhood is created!

I think we have to give credit to Bloomberg if I’m not mistaken, this whole area could’ve ended up a sports stadium.

Ehhhh NYC deserves to host an Olympic game. Its our 1st city and should be shown off as such. LA comes a close second and Atlanta just doesnt even rank on the list of deserving cities.

How you transition from what I said to the statement you just made? Elaborate, did I said NyC doesn’t deserve the Olympics? You can have that stadium built in Qeens or in NYC’s backyard - New Jersey, but the financial capital the business engine of the country doesn’t need stadiums in Manhattan, look at the disaster MSG has being here.

No, only the western half of the railyards would have been the stadium, the rest of the Hudson Yards would have continued. In fact, the original zoning included the stadium. It's theetension of the 7 line, which the city is paying for (the MTA wasn't interested) that allowed for all of this development.

Hosting the Olympics does not do much for a city and is usually destructive and needlessly expensive for the upsides it provides. Especially true for an iconic city like New York that is known and clearly "on the map" already.

Counter clockwise, 50 Hudson, the Spiral, and 3 Hudson Boulevard...the "4 corners" towers (55 Hudson makes the 4th).

something about the scale of this whole area seems way off at ground level, especially with the little minigolf islands down the middle and the trash bucket bauble at the end.
