Seasonal flows are normal occurrences. I have not yet downloaded 2019 or earlier to compare. That’s not what catches my attention. What does is that ATL should have a fairly strong business traffic. That is generally returning in a week, not seasonally offset. I think ia 27% imbalance may indicate WS weakness in marketing to business.

UA is too early to see how it will settle out. The inbound schedule requires a pretty early connection in Denver. Will be interesting to see if it impacts LAX.

ATL is less than a year old, and LAX is less than two. It's may take another year-ish to firmly establish but overall they seem to be doing well. We've never had these routes before but I do know people who use them and appreciate the directness of the flights vs connecting elsewhere. In the longrun they will be fine. Denver and Chicago are familiar and will likely have more solid numbers as the summer and autumn press on. They too will be fine.

ORD and DEN are probably pretty good for first month since restarting. Especially since the fares I’ve seen when searching appear to be decent yielding.

ATL figures are passable at a glance, but are 15% lower traffic levels than October (the first full month of operation). And at least from when I’ve been looking to book, yields are heavily discounted, not a premium. I’d have hoped the route would develop more after a year.

I’d like to hope the capacity that WS had trimmed will support focusing on developing LAX and ATL. But the Nashville BNA route is strange from that context - I’d happily trade the 2x BNA trial for 1x more ATL (ex-Sat is a much better business schedule than ex-TueSat). We’ll see what happens, and what the stats continue to show.

When the July data comes out I expect there will be some impact from the Westjet strike.

WSs seasonal BNA service commences tomorrow morning. Happy to see another leisure destination added to the mix.

Have a read from an interview with YWGs Director of Air Service from last week . As I've said before, WAA have ambitious plans for growth at YWG, including transcontinental service. Exciting times ahead for sure.

Man I would love love love an Amsterdam or Paris flight. London is nice but man it would be slick to have a continental flight.

Agreed, however I think London is the logical first step towards European service. Once that establishes, then we can pursue direct European continental service, probably the likes of KLM and/or Condor service.

Regardless, it's nice to finally have some leadership with plans to bring YWG to the global stage.
