hkskyline's 2019 in Dubai

Although I've visited Dubai a number of times before, every visit brings something new or different. This city changes so quickly and there are so many construction sites in town. Fans of modern architecture can spend a long time exploring the various neighbourhoods.

I've revamped my Dubai gallery on my website : https://www.globalphotos.org/dubai.htm

Some of the buildings in that second picture are garish, but a lot of this is nice modern architecture.

Dubai is not just about new architecture. There is also a historic part of town with lively souks. Gold here is cheap and there is plenty in stock.

Dubai is hyper-rich and looks awesome, but it has a lot of utterly hideous modern buildings. I'd prefer simple glass boxes over a lot of these towers.

Great post! Some of the modern buildings are really tacky but I can tell you it is extremely cool to visit this place in real life. Burj Khalifa is really beautiful though! And the old town, that is shown in this thread, should not been missed.

Amazing. High on my list of places I would love to visit. Definitely seems a little over-the-top but I guess that is also what makes it unique.
