Yeah, it makes sense to bring the coloured panels down to the ground.

Loving it! Hopefully with its completion, naysayers are warming up to this building. For me, it's a great addition to the Mt Pleasant neighbourhood. Hopefully more of such buildings get approved in the surrounding area soon.

Looks like it's to support the platforms between the balconies and on the outsides of the balconies -
maybe for installation of cladding?

So, I'm walking down the Kingsway side and enjoying the wide new sidewalk and I notice how they handled the drainage from the awnings. It's a little different on the Broadway side where they at least got the pipe to disappear into the wall.

Oh my... I think I'll send this to all the designers in the office, to make sure they think of the practical, boring things from the start! Wow.

Bonus points for not aligning the drain points in the awning to the ground so you need that weird kink in the pipe at the bottom. And the god awful strapping used to hold the pipes in place.

I wonder if earlier designs had brick facades or something and then they switched to glass mid-stream.
