I'm suprised by the little brackets and bolts holding up the terra-cotta... can these last 50 years?
Doesn't look easy to service either, they'll be completely hidden.

It's likely all stainless steel and from the looks of it could be accessed through the seams with a hex allen wrench type tool for adjustments...

Sure, but light clearly gets into it from the side at certain times of the day. Might even be a double-floor. I don't know, but it's not entirely useless.

Wait what do those sky lights shown in the model look up into? Wouldn't the floor slab for the next floor be right above?
Skylights near the tapering crown and setbacks of the project. To insinuate the design and draw the eye. The final crown should be illuminated. I'd imagine a feint glow that will bring out the terracotta.
The lighting evokes jewelry at the crown and shimmer down the
cladding of this very feminine and graceful tower. Dynamic changes to the lighting are linked to the lunar cycle and visually connect the crown to the ground level.
L’O scope includes the façade lighting for both the new tower and Steinway Hall, all terraces, performance spaces in Steinway Hall, amenities areas as well as millwork in the residential units.

Yeah, light would come in through the facade.
