What Is The Weather Today II (No Mercury Jockeying)

Sometimes when I pass by the really tall dandelions, usually in forests and green spaces and not yards, I wonder if they are a different subspecies. These might be the tallest I've ever seen.

This section between the path and the creek used to be forested. Then about three years ago they cleared it and planted some young trees. But now there are weeds and brush and whatever all over the place. You used to be able to just easily walk from the path to the creek.

I love dandelions. The greens are great in salads. The first time I drank alcohol, aged 4 or so, was sneaking into my father's dandelion wine he was so proud of making. Needless to say it made me very sick ha.

It's sunny and the lilacs are in bloom. I saw a beautiful Baltimore Oriole on my first long (20km) walk since surgery. I just saw a brown-headed cowbird next to a rwbb



Definitely still feeling weak. I understand better how quickly you can decline with just 2-3 weeks of inactivity.

Oh my, that reminds me of mid July 2022 driving from Laird Falls PP (Pemberton) up scenic empty Duffey Lake Road, from cool rainy Pemberton to scorching hot Lillooet. Then I thought I'd nap in Ashcroft, but of course a van dweller had taken the only shaded parking spot so boy did I ever bake. (I've since discovered that cemeteries are usually the shadiest & quietest spot in small towns to escape the heat, aside from spending money in cafes.) If anyone from out east, or anywhere really (my brother's lived in Vancouver for 20 years and hasn't made it further north than Squamish!) wants to see a stunning change in weather within two hours, the Whistler to Lillooet road is surely a great place to start.

couple hundred kms to the south cranbeary portage just south of flynn flon theres a battle happening to save the town as a forest fire is curently barling down on it several homes lost ive herd so far where the temps are around 5-10c

theyre putting up a good fight the cool weather is the only saving grace.

The only weather phenomenon that can really put out fires is rain. I imagine it has rained in that area these days

No rain i any of the regions BC or Alberta where the fires are. They missed all the precipitation the south got.

I've finished getting the plants where they'll stay for the summer lol Now to clean all the soil on every ledge and all over the floor. Thankfully doesn't show up in a video for the most part lol
