Actually, floor to ceiling windows are terrible for building efficiency. Believe it or not, when this building is done, it will likely be more efficient then new, glass clad buildings like the Nova Centre. Curtain wall glass leaks warm and cool air, lets in lots of sun in the summer, and just wastes energy. As a building owner, and as a clean tech guy, this is way better than curtain wall glass.

I feel like, for the kind of rents they’re charging here (about as much as any brand new modern building downtown) they should have replaced all those tiny chest height windows with much bigger, almost floor to ceiling windows. Would have made for nicer units and a more impressive change to the building elevations too.
