But if you count floors on the elevation from the peak of the concave atrium, there are 5 levels above grade (excluding ground),
and that matches the number of slabs shown in the pic, with the level with the panels and windows being one level above grade.
Yeah the first level of panels in the alley will be Level 3.

There are going to be some splendid views of this tower from Georgia Street. That is, until the new towers rise up on the Chevron, White Spot and Georgia/Nicola sites.

Oh man!

I'm so uncertain of this building.

Though very much looking forward to seeing it rise!

Cladding: My pic, today. Laneway and sidewalk were closed so I couldn’t get closer. I’ll try for a more detailed pic after hours.

It looks like they start with the dark grey panel as a base, then attach narrow strips of metal that angle outward toward the bottom to the grey panel, then mount the final finished metal panel onto the narrow strips. That’s how each row of panels will overlap the row below. You can see it in progress on the leftmost panel on the second row.

Cool, thanks!
Looking forward to seeing that layered approach to the cladding.
I think that's light coloured protective wrap on the top panels.

Looking at them as closely as I could today, there didn't seem to be any protective wrap. They're a pearl white solid sheet material, about a centimetre thick.

Thanks.
For some reason I expected them to be perforated and thought a wrap was hiding the holes. Maybe some others will be perforated.
The white should brighten up the building a lot - like the wrapped period of Vancouver House - and allow a play of shadows with the layered panels

This building just gets better and better. I think it may outshine Vancouver House as downtown's most architecturally stunning building of the last 20-30 years.

Agreed.
Personally, I like the taper on this building more than the top-heavy Vancouver House.

Arent the panels supposed to be an anodized aluminum finish or the white is a film similar to the panels on Vancouver House during construction

During the Urban Design Panel they described the panels as "Glass and anodised aluminum panels"

I think the white glass panels are similar to Kengo's FRAC project in France.

Yeah, I know they're supposed to be anodized aluminum panels but what I meant is whether the panels currently on site are the exposed aluminum panels or they the panels with a white plastic film on them as the previous posted said they looked white. I recall that the panels on Vancouver House had a white film on top during construction

The first setbacks on the corner at Cardero and the alley are now visible.

In the renderings below it's the image on the right that is similar to my first photo.
