If you go just a bit further, there's a point where the sightlines down Mission Rd, Soto St, and Broadway intersect. Early evening, just after sunset, all three are usually packed with cars. The taillights stretch on for miles and miles into the distance. Or at least, they did in the days before the virus.
Fair warning though, the cops close up the entrance to the parking lot at sunset. But park on Multnomah St just outside the entrance and no one will bother you, although you might find a flashlight handy for getting back to your car.
