Bryan Prince Bookseller Closing
End of an era:
Dear friends, supporters and fellow book lovers,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that the bookstore will be closing on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
There are many unique factors that have led to this decision, and it has not been made lightly or in haste. This is not about the death of the physical book or independent bookselling. There will always be books printed and those who love to devour their pages. And there will always be independent bookstores fighting to shine a light on the wonderful treasure trove of books published each season that might otherwise be overlooked or underappreciated.
Bryan Prince Bookseller has always maintained the idea that our bookshop is more than just a place to buy a book- it is a place to meet, to exchange ideas, and to feel connected to the larger world. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the book lovers, writers, poets, publishers, community partners, neighbours and friends who helped us achieve so much through the years. We greatly appreciate the effort people have made to support us because they believed in the value of the work we do.
The bookstore has been a second home to some amazing booksellers over the years. Many thanks to Nancy, Tracey, Kristine, and Talar for their friendship. Thank you to Bryan for creating the canvas on which this was all realized. And a very special thank you to Andrew and Frank for their hard work and faith in the dream.
Sincerely,
Kerry Cranston-Reimer
Bryan Prince Bookseller
