This is, like, the gotham-est building in Gotham. I am insanely jealous of your city having this tower and I get the impression that no photo can fully do it justice.

Is there actually a subtle touch of green in that smoky-black glass, or are my eyes playing tricks? because dark green glass + vertical copper mullions that go alllllll the way to the top =

I haven’t noticed any hints of green, but JDS and SHoP’s next supertall in the city will be a green goliath.

Yeah, the team gets together again...

Another JDS and SHoP Architects collaboration, 247 Cherry Street will be a 77 story, mixed-income rental building of 639 units on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. 25% of the building will be permanently designated as affordable units, distributed throughout the building. Clad in green terra cotta, the building includes sky decks, a community garden and meeting space, as well as significant improvements to the neighboring building to ensure that it remains a source of affordable, high-quality homes for the next generation.

^ Someone tell that guy in blue to cheer up! He's standing underneath one of the best skyscrapers going up in the world at the moment. And a future landmark for NY.

Been watching this guy go up from my apartment for months now, wish I could have been there from the beginning! It truly is a wonderful view.
