You would think they would be hurrying to get those top floors done before the winter months. Does anyone in Winnipeg really want to be installing windows on the 40th floor in mid-January? Really?
They're getting closer to closing it in. Steel is up to the top now. Can see that lunchbox handle thing now.
I'm not sure exactly where the hollow core ends. But it seems the longest wait was grouting of the slabs. If they're all done with the grouting. It could go rather quick once the steel is done (which seems like it's very close finally). The glazing goes on pretty quick.
Makes me cry in my soup every time I see what could have been with SkyCity. Would have really changed that area and skyline.

Seeing that photo you posted in the Winnipeg Construction thread Biff really makes me want something substantial, but shorter than 300 Main built on one of those Graham lots.

Yeah, two big towers so close to each other would have delivered a critical mass of new residential that hasn't been added anywhere downtown since the 80s.
The final height steel columns are up on the south side… light grey in colour.

Anyone know if anything is planned that surface parking lot next to that white building with world Local on it?... it's just begging for some development.
^^^It was supposed to be the SkyCity project...Winnipeg's new tallest (taller than 300 Main) - 44 Storeys, 388 Units, 574 ft. Cancelled a few years ago with a developer scandal.
