FORT WORTH | 200 W Vickery | 10 FLOORS

Been some rumblings about this for about a year now, but we now have an idea of how it might look. This is just outside downtown, across I-30.

It's location is very close to the TRE train station so parking for train riders is planned to be included. The housing authority is leading the proposal. A hotel is being considered as part of the project.

There's another new structure to the left, not sure what that might be.

Link to source video which includes info on several other projects in the Near Southside neighborhood.

Additional renderings and information. The project is being developed by the local housing authority in conjunction with the local transit authority.

The project will contain

- 230 1 & 2 bedroom mixed-income units in the main 12 story tower.
- 200 hotel rooms in the smaller 6 story building.
- Ground floor retail along Vickery in both buildings
- Direct connection to the T&P station, with heavy rail connections to Dallas and DFW airport
- New bus terminal along Vickery
- 650 space garage to serve the development
- New parking lot below adjacent elevated highway to serve transit park & rides
- Staircase to S. Main and community garden space

Sources and More disscussion

Should break ground soon.

This has lost two floors, now only ten. However, the hotel gained a few.

There are no new renderings of the shorter main tower (the one in article still shows 12)
