This was my first year attending the Dia De Los Muertos celebration in Oakland (Fruitvale)... it was a hell of a lot bigger and better than I thought it would be. There were easily 2,000+ people there... the food was uniformly excellent and so were the performances.
For those who don't know, Dia De Los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that celebrates the dead and brings them back in spirit for a day.
