Whoa! Whoa! Watch your mouth on this forum. We don't need that kind of language here. Please refrain from using terms like 35-40 storeys. Some people can't handle that. lol. j/k

The QE2 hospital called. Apparently the Pacey's and half the HT are on life support after seeing your comment!

Okay, there I got that out of my system.
All kidding aside, I think Someone has a point and an image like that could help support the idea. If a developer hired a good graphic artist; they could use photos like that (with the proposed development imposed accurately) and show that the world wouldn't end!

I always thought that the shadows from anything over 6 stories extended all the way to Moncton and had the effect of taking years off a persons life as they walked under it.

No, that's foolish.

You're thinking about the wind effects. With a building of 6 storeys or more, they will blow a person all the way to Moncton. Some members of the Heritage Trust even think that such effects were the cause of the sinking of a large ocean liner.

Surely if we allow such structures , we will all be

Try to keep your facts straight please.

I had this in my Easter photo spread; but I thought I would add it here. It's from Royale Hemlocks.

Again from my Easter photo spread.

Btw - the photo spread can be found here if you haven't seen it already.

Trying to figure out exactly where that is. At first I thought the NW arm, but now I see it's actually Banook in the foreground. Maybe somewhere handy Sinclair St.?

That's a really interesting angle. For a second I wondered if that was even Halifax. Thanks for the photo.

Simply by drawing a straight line from the two prominent buildings in Dartmouth that are visible I'm guessing Braeside Court? At first I thought the overhead sign was for Prince Albert but it's probably on the Circ.

But anyways nice photo it certainly is interesting to see the Welsford stick out so much

Now that I think of it there's also that proposal for the funeral home on Robie near Quinpool. It could be a tower and if it is tall it will be very visible from this perspective.

A wider view would also include the new St. Joseph's, Gladstone, and maybe the new tower on Young Street if that moves forward.

Just a bit further along. It's Gourok Avenue. Just over a mile up Caledonia from the NSCC.
